“My Prayers Are With You” – Tinubu Condoles With President Mahama Over Tragic Air Accident

President Bola Tinubu has extended his deepest condolences to Ghana President, John Mahama.

He recently mourned with the people of Ghana after the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others.

Speaking via a press statement, BAT assured President Mahama and all Ghanaians that his thoughts and prayers are with them.

According to him, the Federal Government and the whole of Nigeria are with Ghana during this time of profound national loss.

He urged the Ghanaians and the bereaved families and friends to find comfort in the knowledge that their loved ones died while serving the nation.

Tinubu concluded by praying for the souls of the dead to rest in perfect peace.

Meanwhile, the president recently mourned the death of the late Chief MKO Abiola’s widow, Dr Doyinsola Hamidat Abiola.

He recently expressed sadness over the death of the former Managing Director of the Concord Group of newspapers, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Speaking via a press statement issued by the State House, Tinubu described the late veteran journalist as “trailblazer journalist” and a “soldier of democracy.”

According to him, Doyin Abiola’s incredible contributions to journalism laid the foundation for generations of women after her, and her impact on Nigeria’s democracy cannot be overemphasised.

“Doyin Abiola, 82, was an Amazon and an icon in Nigerian journalism. She stayed in the journalism course since starting as a reporter with the defunct Daily Sketch after graduating from the University of Ibadan in 1969, majoring in English and Drama.

She broke the gender barrier, becoming the first woman to edit a national newspaper and the first managing director of a daily newspaper.

Her immense contributions to journalism and gender equity laid a foundation for generations of women. Her impact on our democracy was even more profound,” it read.
