Kyari Will Provide Effective Leadership As IFAD Chairman – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, on his election as the new chairperson of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Recall that Senator Kyari was unanimously elected on Tuesday to lead the 49th Governing Council of IFAD, the international organisation’s highest decision-making body.

According to Tinubu, Kyari’s election is a confidence vote in his capacity and the reforms he spearheads in Nigeria’s agriculture and food security value chain.

BAT added that he expects the Senator to provide effective leadership and enhance IFAD’s relevance and impact, especially amid global food security challenges.
