I’m Yet To Endorse Candidates For Rivers State – Wike

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he has not endorsed any individual for future political contests in Rivers State. He recently had his say while addressing a joint gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders from Rivers State at his official residence in Life Camp, Abuja.

Confirming that such decisions remain within the purview of party elders, he warned against the rush for endorsements and the internal divisions caused by personal ambitions.

Wike emphasised that the current political standing of the group was built on unity and commitment instead of financial influence.

His words, “If we were not working together, if we were not united, it would be difficult.

People are not happy that we are working together, so they must find anything to make sure we are divided.

Woe be unto the person that we have given an appointment [who] goes back to castigate.

Anything I say in the night is what I will say in the daytime.”
