Tinubu Renames Kaduna Petroleum Institute After Late Yar’Adua

President Bola Tinubu has announced the renaming of the completed Institute of Petroleum Studies, Kaduna, as the General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua University of Geological Sciences and Engineering Technology. He recently had his say in his Democracy Day address to citizens, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Announcing that the decision is meant to honour the late military officer’s contributions to Nigeria’s transition to civilian rule, Tinubu said that the renaming formed part of the recognition due to the architects of the country’s democratic journey.

BAT added that the late president deserves to be remembered for his remarkable vision of national partnership.

His words, “Among the architects of modern democratic Nigeria, we honour General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua for his vision of national partnership.

In recognition of his contributions, the Federal Government has approved the revitalisation and renaming of the completed Institute of Petroleum Studies, Kaduna, as the General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua University of Geological Sciences and Engineering Technology.”
