The Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South Geo-Political zone has come out to say that the commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration is a special chance for Nigeria to renew its pact with destiny.

Chief Dan Orbih, National Vice Chairman, South-South of the party, recently revealed this in a statement to mark the Islamic celebration.

According to him, the holy commemoration should be seen as a unique opportunity to not only reconnect to the Almighty sacred purpose for mankind, but also one for Nigeria and indeed all Nigerians to renew their pact with destiny.

He then prayed that the culmination of the fasting period would usher in a period of lasting spiritual refreshing and commitment to the wellbeing of humanity.

His words, “Muslims in Nigeria and around the world have gone through a most sacred period of spiritual cleansing, devotion and rededication. It is my earnest prayer that the deepest desires of their hearts for themselves, their families, religion, country and humanity be granted.”

“Nigeria is at a critical point and we cannot wait even a single moment longer to rally round a common purpose and drive to fix the deep rot.”

“We have a date with destiny. We have a pact with destiny. Nigeria cannot afford to fail. We must not fail.”

“I assure us that the Government, including the National Assembly, will not waver in its determination to provide robust security in the country that guarantees every law-abiding citizen the liberty to live in peace and pursue their legitimate businesses anywhere they choose.”

“Let us remain strong in our hope that Nigeria will become what we fervently want it to be: a nation that fills its citizens with happiness and pride.”
