In a recent livestream, Olamide addressed fans about the challenges of being in the public eye. “If you want to be successful or make it big in life, you have to accept that people will talk about you. Criticism is part of the journey—it’s on you to stay focused,” he said.

His comments follow reactions to his statement that Wizkid is the “greatest Afrobeats artist after Fela,” which stirred disagreement among some Burna Boy and Davido fans.

Olamide clarified that his opinion reflected his personal view and stressed that nobody should let someone else’s opinion dictate their value or achievements.
