2face Idibia
Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Face” Idibia has shared a rare glimpse into his son Nino’s ambitions, revealing that the teenager is charting a path far outside entertainment.
Despite being musically gifted — especially with the saxophone — Nino has made it clear that a career in music isn’t part of his future plans.
The proud father disclosed this during his 25-year celebration event in Abuja, where he invited his son on stage to greet fans.
Introducing him, 2Baba hyped the crowd, saying, “Making some noise for my son Nino, mehn.” He then added that the young talent has chosen a completely different profession, noting, “He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor.”
Nino, born on January 15, 2006, to 2Baba and Sumbo Adeoye, is not only a skilled instrumentalist but also dabbles in modelling and content creation on social media.
While many children of Nigerian stars often lean toward entertainment, Nino appears determined to embrace the medical field. This is a contrast to trends like Wizkid’s son Boluwatife, who recently kick-started his own music journey at age 14 with his debut EP Champions’ Arrival, performing under the name Champz.
