President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 89th birthday. He recently described him as an elder statesman whose towering influence continues to shape Nigeria and Africa, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Hailing the former president’s courage and sacrifices over the years, BAT celebrated OBJ for leading troops to preserve Nigeria’s unity at the warfront, serving time in prison for speaking out against tyranny, and consistently pursuing Africa’s political and economic interests.
He concluded by acknowledging the zeal and wisdom Obasanjo has brought into Nigeria’s development process through his books and regular interventions.
WOW.
