Wizkid Announces Lagos Concert Set for December

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has confirmed that he will be performing live in Lagos on December 28.

The singer made the announcement on X, revealing that the event — titled “The Greatest of All Time Experience” — will take place at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), located in the Onikan area of the city.

Sharing his excitement with fans, Wizkid wrote, “Lagos! See you soon.”

The concert news comes on the heels of the massive success of his latest album Morayo, which recently became the most-streamed project in Sub-Saharan Africa on Apple Music’s 2025 year-end chart.

Ahead of the show, HBO is also set to premiere a new documentary titled “Wizkid: Long Live Lagos” on December 11. The film offers a revealing look into the singer’s rise from Surulere to international stardom, including his historic headlining performance at the sold-out 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 29, 2023.

The documentary features commentary from an impressive lineup of industry figures such as legendary musician Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, media personality Julie Adenuga, producer Sunday Are, manager Jada Pollock, and entertainment insiders Seni Saraki and Karen Binns.

Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid first gained nationwide attention with his 2011 debut album Superstar. Since then, he has released five studio albums: Ayo (2014), Sound From the Other Side (2017), Made In Lagos (2020), More Love, Less Ego (2022), and Morayo (2024).

His career is decorated with multiple awards, including a Grammy win in 2021 for his contribution to Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.”
