A 24 years old Olaoluwa Oluwadamilola from University of Lagos (UNILAG) has become Africa’s youngest PhD holder.

The young man was all smiles as he mounted the podium to collect his award.

The Dean of Postgraduate school, Prof. Obinna Chukwu introduced the young man to the amazement of all as his achievements seem impossible for a 24-year-old. Had the Dean not announced his age himself, many would still doubt if Hallowed is actually 24

The new Doctor bagged a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics in 2007, graduating with 1st Class honours.

Oluwadara apparently ran his degree in Mathematics the same time he was studying Physics, as he also graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Physics in the same year.

He added an M.Sc. in Mathematics (Pure Option) and also Physics (Distinction) in 2008 before embarking on his doctorate journey.

UNILAG, on the second day of its convocation ceremonies, graduated 105 Ph.D. students, one M.Phil., 4,380 M.Sc. and 335 PGD students.
