‘Sounds of Africa’: 2Baba Idibia’s Works Unveiled at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles

2Baba Idibia joins the list of icons whose works will be showcased today, June 24, 2016, at the prestigious Grammy Award Museum in New York.
The GRAMMY Museum, launched in 2008 during the 50th Grammy Awards’ anniversary, and is devoted to educating the public on the history of Grammy winners. Their exhibition features collection of works by featured artistes, hand-written lyrics, records, and audio/video recordings. Some of the stars whose works had previously been exhibited include Rihanna, Bob Marley, Withney Houston and more.
This year, the BET launched the Sounds of Africa exhibition with the Grammy museum, and is featuring works by African artistes for the first time
The ‘Sounds of Africa’ exhibition includes works of 2Baba Idibia and other veterans including Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keita, Mafikizolo.
Also, this exhibition is dedicated to only Africans who have previously won the BET or Grammy Awards for their � creative process as well as the art/ technology of their recording process�.
The year’exhibition will � feature handwritten lyrics, costumes, and an array of rare musical instruments.”
Recall that 2baba Idibia won the BET Best International Act: Africa in 2011, alongside D’banj.
