Armed robbers on Friday November 10, stormed the popular Iyana-Iba market in Ojo local government area of Lagos, robbing traders and passers-by of their phones, money and other valuables in broad day light.
Report has it that the robbers attacked the traders and passers-by while shooting into the air as they beat up those who refused to part with their valuables.
One of the witnesses said: “We noticed everybody was running and I ran too. The thief passed by, kicked at the glasses and took away the phones,” Premium Times reports.
Some of the traders who were affected also complained that the military operatives stationed at the Iyana-Iba roundabout did not step in to help people during the robbery.
