Spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye has come out to say that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is committed to his agenda to restructure the country should he win the elections in 2023.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the former vice president has the capacity to set the ball rolling on his agenda from his first day in office, and he hopes he’ll be given the opportunity to make it happen.

Dino Melaye added that Atiku worked to unify the party following months of crisis within PDP since the presidential primary was held in June.

His words, “It’s a matter of when he wins. Atiku is not giving lip service to restructuring, I’m telling you that he authored a book on restructuring. When it was not safe for any northerner to talk about restructuring, Atiku boldly spoke about restructuring. So, he’s speaking from his heart, and whatever he says, he stands by it. And I want to tell you that, it’s not going to be a matter of one or two years, it is something that he’s going to start immediately. He has the capacity to make sure that all his five agenda kickstart from the first day in office.”

“In every family, there’s bound to be struggles; there’s bound to be disagreements. But I can tell you that Atiku has done very well in unifying the PDP. And it is an ongoing exercise. As I speak with you, many people who were in the declaration in Port Harcourt that they will not be part of the Presidential Campaign Council were present yesterday at the inauguration of the campaign council. It is the effort of Atiku Abubakar. He has shown magnanimity. He has shown maturity. He has shown that fatherly concern.”
