Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has brought tears of joy to a pregnant woman, Gloria Nwnakwo, as he gave her N200,000 cash to start any business of her choice.

Governor Umahi who was at the Government House to inspect the level of work at the mushroom factory under construction, was moved by passion when he saw Nwnakwo among those mixing concrete for the job, Daily Trust reports.

The pregnant lady who hails from Ishieke in Ebonyi local government area could not control her tears of joy over the governor’s kind gesture. She said poverty pushed her into doing menial jobs for survival.

The governor also extended the charity to other laborers at the site as he gave them N100,000 for lunch.
