World’s richest man, Elon Musk has been displaced as the largest shareholder in Twitter by Vanguard Group, an asset manager.

Reliable reports revealed this recently, and the world has been reacting.

According to documents sent to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 8, Vanguard Group increased its stake of 8.4 percent (67.2 million shares) in Twitter to 10.3 percent (82.4 million shares).

The investment has set the stage for an ownership battle between the institutional investor and individual investor, considering Musk had launched a bid to buy Twitter.
