FCT Commissioner of Police Helped To Secure Agba Jalingo’s Release From Police Custody – Femi Falana

Popular media personality, Agba Jalingo has been released from police custody.

This was recently confirmed by Human Rights Activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Recall that Jalingo who is the publisher of CrossRiverWatch, was arrested on Friday August 19 by policemen on mufti at his Alapere, Ketu, Lagos home and taken to Area F Police Station, Ikeja over a story he published about a lecturer facing prosecution after allegedly being caught cheating in Nigerian Law School examination.

Falana said that he immediately contacted the Commissioner of Police of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Mr. Babaji Sunday to request for his unconditional release from police custody.

His words, “Upon the arrival of Agba Jalingo at Abuja yesterday he was dumped at the Abattoir detention camp where he was held incommunicado.”
