Ex BBNaija housemate, KayVee has come out to open up on why he voluntarily withdrew from the reality show.

He recently revealed this during an interview with the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he practically felt like an outsider in the Big Brother house so he deliberately reduced his interactions with the other housemates.

He added that not socialising in the house and being unable to blend in ultimately messed up his mental health.

His words, “One of the reasons I couldn’t blend in quickly was because some of the housemates had bonded already before I came in, so I felt like an outsider. It was hard for me to blend in because they had created their cliques, then I came in like a random person that was trying to fit into a society.”

“I can’t pinpoint the time I felt like I could not continue the show anymore. What really happened was that while I was getting to know the housemates, it looked like I was talking too much. I was hearing rumours in the house that I was beginning to talk too much, so I had to restrain myself from talking too much. I didn’t want it to seem like I was trying to steal the show from them. That’s one of the reasons I was triggered. They did not really accept who I was.”

WOW.

The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.

Ebuka, the most popular housemate for several weeks into the show and widely believed to emerge the winner was the seventh housemate to be evicted; many viewers blame the Joe’s Fan Club (JFC) for his eviction. Joe himself was soon evicted from the show.

Big Brother added another twist to the game on day 79 by cancelling the day’s scheduled nominations and making the housemates believe they will instead be evicted based on their performances on assigned tasks while in reality no more evictions were held and viewers began voting for the winner who turned out to be 26-year-old Katung Aduwak.
