Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari has come out to urge citizens to give him seven days to resolve the naira controversy in Nigeria.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, even if he doubts the commitment of banks in particular to the success of the policy, he will do everything within his power to make it a success.

Buhari added that he only needs a 10-day extension to crack down on whatever is standing in the way of successful implementation.

His words, “I will revert to the CBN and the minting company. There will be a decision one way or the other in the remaining seven days of the 10-day extension.”
