The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has come out to urge leaders at all levels to be inspired by the humility, patriotism, and selflessness that the late Alhaji Lateef Jakande showed while he was alive.

According to him, the death of Lateef Jakande is a very sad one, and he’ll surely be remembered for being a quintessential statesman, a very prudent administrator, and an exceptionally self-sacrificing leader.

He added that Jakande’s life will remain a huge source of inspiration for the younger generation of leaders.

“His reputation of using his personal vehicle and house, while serving as a state governor, demonstrates his persuasion that leadership is about serving the people and not for personal aggrandizements,”

“The PDP asserts that it is more saddening that he left at a time the nation needed his wealth of experience and wise counsel the most.”
