The Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has come out to react to the local government election in Lagos.

He recently had his say while speaking with the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the low turn out of voters during the polls wasn’t impressive at all, but he is pleased with the peaceful nature of the election.

He added that he was also very disappointed to hear that the card reader has technical issues at times, and he hopes Nigeria can move past such issues.

His words, β€œI am not going to say I am impressed, but the turn out is low; but what is more important is the peaceful nature of the election.”

β€œFrom what I have seen so far, there is no violence and people are conducting themselves orderly but would have wanted a larger turn out.”

β€œI am very disappointed to hear that the card reader has technical issues, which is like we are not there yet, but almost there.”

β€œINEC is charged with the responsibility of electoral features, while NCC is charged with the responsibility of making sure our technology improves with proper infrastructure.”
