VeryDarkMan Shares What Triggered In-Flight Clash With Mr Jollof

Social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has given his own account of the altercation that broke out between him and media personality Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely called Mr Jollof, during a commercial flight.

In a video shared shortly after they landed, VDM explained that the confrontation stemmed from lingering tension following their recent online exchanges. According to him, spotting Mr Jollof on the plane prompted him to confront the comedian directly.

He said he told him, “Today, you will slap me,” referencing the heated back-and-forth they had been having on social media.

VDM also posted a message on Instagram claiming the brawl intensified after Mr Jollof struck him first.

“MR JOLLOF YOU B!T me, your fellow man haba. JOLLOF WOULD HAVE KPAI ME IF I DIDNT DEFEND MYSELF, GOD SAVED ME,” he wrote.

He added that the situation escalated further when Mr Jollof allegedly bit him during the fight, joking that his tattoo was almost destroyed by teeth he claimed “had not been brushed.”

Passengers reportedly intervened to separate both men as the scuffle unfolded mid-flight.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Mr Jollof nor the airline involved has issued any official statement regarding the incident.
