The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has explained the reason why she paused her planned resumption to the Senate for legislative duties.

She recently revealed that she shelved her plans to resume after receiving legal advice, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Speaking during an interview with African Independent Television (AIT), Natasha said that she intends to wait for the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgment before making her next move.

Natasha added that because she is a politician who fully respects procedures, she’ll do everything within her power to make sure all the rules and regulations regarding her return to the senate are followed.

Her words, “By keeping me out of the chambers, the Senate is not just silencing Kogi Central—it’s denying Nigerian women and children representation. We are only three female senators now, down from eight.

I remained active throughout. These are personal initiatives—I was hoping to finish the gold bill and move on to others like lithium and red mineral legislation. I can’t simply hand them over to others.

I believe in the judiciary, I’m not giving up.”

WOW.
