Princess Fires Back at Critics After Baba Ijesha’s Release, Warns Public Against Him

Nigerian comedian Princess has responded strongly to those attacking her online following the release of actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

Kemi Filani earlier reported that Baba Ijesha regained his freedom on Friday, November 15, after spending more than three years in prison over allegations of sexual assault. Actor Yomi Fabiyi announced the development on Instagram, stating that the Appeal Court had cleared him. He celebrated the ruling, saying Baba Ijesha had returned not just “back” but “better.”

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Princess criticised those mocking her over the news and issued a stern warning to parents. “I can see some people cursing me that God will punish me after Baba Ijesha was released from prison. God doesn’t support child defilement. You all can send your daughters to him for Christmas,” she said.

Princess insisted that Baba Ijesha remains a danger to society, calling him a convicted serial offender. She urged institutions and property owners to deny him access to their spaces. “Baba Ijesha is a convicted serial paedophile and rapist. He had dozens of victims. I am now calling on schools, hotels and landlords not to allow him in their premises,” she stated.

She also demanded that the Lagos State Government take formal action by placing his name on the public sx offenders list. “His full name is Olanrewaju James Omiyinka. I am also calling on the Lagos State Government to publish his name publicly as a sx offender,” she added.

Princess went on to allege that he targets both minors and adults, saying: “He rpes both young and adult. This is how he operates, after he has assaulted a child somewhere, he will leave his house in the middle of the night and relocate. He has lived in Mafoluku, Oworo, Lagos Island, etc.”*
