A fresh wave of online chatter has emerged surrounding music legend 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, after Nigerian women flooded Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live, urging support for the singer amid fresh allegations about his marriage.
The drama unfolded following an explosive interview conducted by Daddy Freeze on Monday evening with Kaka, a former staff member of 2Baba.
Kaka recounted a series of incidents allegedly involving the couple during their recent UK tour, claiming that Natasha often hindered 2Baba’s progress and exerted “psychological control” over him.
Kaka explained that while 2Baba rarely opposed Natasha in Nigeria, he became more assertive during the tour regarding his music and business ambitions. He alleged that Natasha felt threatened by the singer’s rising influence, which led to what he described as “psychologically diminishing” behavior that affected 2Baba’s confidence and well-being. Kaka eventually distanced himself from the couple, citing concern over how her actions were harming the singer’s career.
He also recounted a tense incident at Lagos Airport before their UK trip, saying Natasha accused 2Baba of planning to leave her behind. The argument reportedly continued in the airport lounge, on the flight, and upon arrival in the UK, with Kaka stepping in to calm the situation.
The tension escalated when 2Baba unexpectedly joined Daddy Freeze’s live session. A heated exchange between him and Natasha ensued, prompting the singer to abruptly exit the livestream, further fueling public curiosity and concern.
Following the broadcast, many Nigerian women took to Daddy Freeze’s comment section to call for men to “save” the singer. One user, Akobi Oyemekun, wrote, “These women are soliciting for our support because it’s their turn to marry 2baba when he finally regains his freedom.”

Although initial reports of the incident surfaced in October, coinciding with claims that Natasha was pregnant, 2Baba later denied being arrested, explaining that he missed his performance due to a medical issue.

His mother reportedly urged Natasha to “remove the beads” she allegedly placed on 2Baba, while his brother Charles Idibia accused Natasha of manipulation, saying the singer had been dragged “from inside the frying pan into an industrial furnace.” Comedian Ayo Makun highlighted society’s neglect of men’s emotional struggles, and singer Cynthia Morgan advised Natasha that she “can’t purge a man like 2face into monogamy overnight,” urging prayers for the singer.
Daddy Freeze added his own warning, claiming 2Baba was “depreciating and turning from a Bentley to a Corolla,” while Annie was “evolving into a Queen,” cautioning that the singer risked becoming “a puppet.”
