Obasanjo, GEJ Set To Inaugurate 750-Capacity NASS Christian Chapel

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan are set to inaugurate the National Assembly Christian Chapel in Abuja on March 1. This is contained in a statement co-signed by the President of Christian Legislators Fellowship, Sen. Binus Yaroe (PDP-Adamawa), and the Secretary, Rep. Bamidele Salam (PDP-Osun), on Wednesday.

According to Yaroe, former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon and the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, would attend the inauguration and dedication of the 750-capacity chapel.

He added that other dignitaries expected at the dedication include the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh; the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Oke; and Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, among others.

His words, “The dedication of the chapel represents the beginning of a new chapter in strengthening spiritual fellowship among Christian legislators and staff.

The event, which is expected to attract eminent Nigerians from across the country, will mark a significant milestone for the Christian community within the National Assembly.

The ceremony will bring together prominent Christian leaders, policymakers, and dignitaries in a moment of thanksgiving and spiritual reflection.”
