Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Naanlong Daniel, has urged residents to exercise restraint and avoid reprisal attacks. This comes following the recent killings in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Expressing deep concern over the loss of innocent lives, he called for sober reflection, collective responsibility, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence among all residents.
He added that the incident is a painful setback to the peace and stability of the state.
His words, “The future of our state depends on the commitment of our youths to peace, discipline, and constructive engagement.
The Governor deserves praise for his response, particularly his prompt visit to the affected community and immediate interventions aimed at restoring order and reassuring citizens.”
