Eze Ndigbo Coronation Abroad Is Embarrassing – FG

The Federal Government has blasted the growing trend of crowning Eze Ndigbo in foreign countries. FG recently had its say via a press statement signed by Special Assistant on Communication and New Media to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Magnus Eze, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Describing the act as embarrassing, Eze said that crowning Eze Ndigbo abroad is capable of causing diplomatic and communal tensions.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, added that the development has become a source of concern.

Her words, “The situation has become a big embarrassment to government, Ndigbo, Nigerians and other foreigners in those countries where they have Eze Ndigbo.”
