Gov. Soludo Appoints New Heads For Anambra Health Agencies

The Governor of Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of key officials to head major health sector parastatals in the state. The appointments are part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve institutional capacity across Anambra’s health sector.

Under the new appointments, Dr. Ezeaka Augustine Uwaeme has been named Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr. Obianuji Chinelo Okoye will serve as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, while Dr. Hillary Nkem Okeke has been appointed Executive Director of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency.

Dr. Uwaeme is a seasoned medical practitioner with over 22 years of experience in Medicine and Surgery, with extensive clinical and management expertise, while Dr. Okoye is an experienced physician with strong administrative and training competencies, as well as broad clinical experience across hospitals and the public health sector.
