Manchester United’s attempt to hijack Barcelona’s move for Spanish defender Jorge Salina’s has hit a stumbling block. This comes after Racing Santander manager Jose Alberto revealed that the LB has no desire to leave the club this summer.

Refuting the mounting speculation regarding Salina’s this summer, Alberto insisted that the defender is fully committed to Racing Santander at this stage of his burgeoning career.

Jose concluded by expressing his frustration with the constant noise surrounding his players.

His words, “What surprises me is that people are constantly talking about the departure of two of our players [Salinas and Gustavo Puerta], when they have contracts and are our players.

They’re very important to us. I don’t want them to leave. And they show every day that they don’t either. But we know how this world works and there are release clauses. If a team comes along and pays the clause, they cease to be our players.

There’s little you can do if a giant appears. We value the assets we have, we consider them important. For the club, at this time, there is no other option than to try to strengthen the team and not weaken it by losing stars.

The reality is that the club that wants him has to come along with an offer. Hopefully he stays. It would be our dream. We’re going to try everything we can to make it happen, just like we did in the winter with Gustavo Puerta. But it’s also true that if significant offers come in, it will be more complicated.”

Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.

Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.

Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.

The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
