Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has broken his silence regarding the future of Enzo Fernandez. This comes as transfer speculation continues to swirl around the Argentine midfielder, and fans have been reacting.
Insisting that the 2022 World Cup winner remains a core part of his plans, Alonso stated that Fernandez has been training professionally since he arrived from his summer break.
Xabi added that Enzo is currently getting himself ready for the clash against Fulham on Monday.
His words, “Enzo is a Chelsea player. He’s a top, top player. He’s training really well since he started 10 days ago with the team, very integrated. We are happy with him and he’s getting ready for Monday.
He’s training really well with a good attitude, and that’s what we want. He’s trying his best to prepare for the kick-off of the Premier League.”
