Al-Nassr manager Ange Postecoglou has launched a fierce defence of Cristiano Ronaldo after his team suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat to Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Taking full responsibility for the result and demanding respect for his captain, Postecoglou revealed that no one should accuse Ronaldo of not helping the team.
He added that CR7 deserves some respect for scoring 3 goals already without proper pre-season action.

The responsibility is mine, okay? But you shouldn’t say that about somebody who is still setting an example for everyone.
And you should be careful when you say things like that about people who have built a career on making all the sacrifices to keep playing. Like I said, you can criticise me, no problem. That’s okay. Did he not score in three games? Did he not have chances today?”
