Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has undergone successful surgery following an injury she sustained while representing Nigeria on international duty. Recall that the 26-year-old forward got injured during the second leg of Nigeria’s second-round qualifying fixture for the 2028 Olympic Games against Comoros on Tuesday.
Ajibade is now expected to spend some time on the sidelines as she begins her recovery, even though the exact timeline for her return remains uncertain.
