Gianna “GiGi” Floyd, the 6-year-old daughter of George Floyd has shared a tribute to her father.

The little girl was recently filmed shouting “daddy changed the world,” in a touching video.

In the video, a smiling Gigi, who sat close to ex-basketball pro-Stephen Jackson, was heard talking about how much of a difference her father has made in the world we live in.

Meanwhile, Stephen Jackson has been very vocal about the demise of his longtime friend, George Floyd, and he has been campaigning for justice since the killing.

R.I.P.

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a black man, was killed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. During an arrest, Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, kept his knee on the side of Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down. During the last three minutes, Floyd was motionless.

Three more officers who were involved in the arrest further restricted his body movement and prevented intervention of the onlookers. An ambulance was called at the scene. Later, Floyd went into a full cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Floyd was arrested because he was accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill at a market. Police said Floyd physically resisted arrest. Some media organizations commented that a security camera from a nearby business did not show Floyd resisting.

The criminal complaint filed later said that, based on body camera footage, Floyd repeatedly said he could not breathe while standing outside the police car, resisted getting in the car and intentionally fell down; then, after Chauvin placed his knee, Floyd said “I can’t breathe” multiple times and repeatedly said, “Mama” and “please”.
