The Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA) was held yesterday in Yenogoa, Bayelsa. The event was compered by Comedian Ayo Makun and British/Ghanaian TV presenter and actress, Ama K. There were performances from Waje, Timi Dakolo, flavour Nabania and P-Square at the well-attended awards.

Here are some of the winners from the ceremony:

Best African Film In The Diaspora: Last flight to Abuja-Nigeria
Best Production Design: Elelwani- South Africa
Best Achievement In Makeup: The Meeting-Nigeria
Best Achievement In Costume Design: Blood Henna
Best Achievement In Soundtrack: The Last Fishing Boat-Malawi
Best Documentary : Fueling Poverty-Nigeria.
