Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has come out to say that his administration has invested in the Nigeria Airforce aerodrome in Makurdi as commercial flights resume operation.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he has facilitated the geodetic survey of the airport to make sure it is included in ICAO maps, so that pilots can rely on instruments to fly into Makurdi.

Ortom added that work is also underway to provide temporary spaces for terminal operations.

His words, “Provision of a state-of-the-art Ambulance and trained Health personnel for Emergency Rescue Services.”

“Facilitating the Geodetic Survey of the Airport to ensure the Airport is included in ICAO maps so that pilots can rely on instruments (and not just their eyes) to fly into Makurdi.”
