The National Youth Service Corps has urged corps employers to open movement and attendant registers in a bid to track performance in their places of primary assignments.
The NYSC Gombe State Coordinator, Chinwe Nwachuku, recently revealed that corps members shouldn’t be given clearance letters if they don’t work.
Speaking at a one-day corps employers/management workshop with the theme: Strengthening NYSC/Corps employers’ partnership for improved mutual benefits in Gombe State, Chinwe shared that such drastic measures are needed to guarantee quality service by the corpers.
Her words, “If a corps member didn’t work for you don’t give them clearance letter. We must have movement and attendant registers to monitor corps members.”
