Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has sparked mixed reactions online after expressing his openness to an open marriage in the future.
Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, the Chocolate City artiste shared his unconventional perspective on marriage, intimacy, and fidelity, explaining that he believes openness can help sustain relationships over time.
According to him, many couples lose the spark they once had because they restrict themselves sexually, leading to dissatisfaction in their marriages.
“I don’t mind having an open marriage. Most married couples don’t keep the same amount of intimacy they had at the beginning—it reduces,” he said.
Blaqbonez further explained that he would not be bothered if his wife chose to be sexually involved with someone else, as long as she remained emotionally loyal to him.
“If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling or on tour, that’s okay. There’s more to marriage than sex,” he added.
