Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has advised couples to avoid putting themselves under unnecessary pressure with elaborate weddings. She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.

Arguing that the expectations surrounding such ceremonies often affect marriages, Kadiri revealed that big weddings mostly place emotional and mental pressure on couples.

Ruth added that people fail to recognise how the demands of wedding preparations can influence their transition into married life.
