Spyro
Nigerian singer Oludipe David, widely known as Spyro, has revealed that his financial stability does not depend on releasing new music. According to him, he earns the bulk of his income from performing at high-end corporate events rather than regular industry shows.
During an appearance on the Adesope Live show, the “Who Is Your Guy?” hitmaker explained that his clean, family-friendly sound has made him a top choice for banks, multinational companies, and elite personalities. He noted that because he maintains a modest lifestyle, many people underestimate how well he is doing financially.
“If I stop making music today, I’m made… A lot of people don’t realise it because I don’t make noise about it,” he said.
Spyro further broke down how he has built a unique lane for himself, stating that he consistently gets booked for year-end events hosted by top executives, including business mogul Tony Elumelu. He added that only a handful of artists who create clean music—such as Chike and Johnny Drille—are usually considered for such gatherings where families and children are present.
Beyond music, the singer shared that he has invested in various ventures to ensure a stable financial future, emphasizing that he has deliberately structured his career and finances to stay afloat regardless of his activity in the music scene.
