Ogun State Lawmakers Support Tinubu’s Re-Election

20 progressive lawmakers of the Ogun State House of Assembly have reaffirmed their support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election for a second term in office beginning May 2027. The legislators, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, also expressed their backing for the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as well as the next political move of Governor Dapo Abiodun after his second term.

Speaking on behalf of the lawmakers, the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Sheriff Abiodun, noted that Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and huge infrastructural development across Nigeria has earned him a second term.

Sheriff added that BAT’s achievements thus far prove his commitment to repositioning the nation’s economy.

His words, “We, the progressive members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, comprising 20 out of 26 honourable members, solely want to reaffirm the endorsement already made by APC Ogun State in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return for a second term in 2027.

This is because of his bold economic reforms and massive infrastructural development across the country.

Under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria has witnessed tremendous steps toward economic stabilisation, fiscal reforms, and unprecedented infrastructural development, particularly road construction projects connecting major economic corridors nationwide.

These achievements underscore Mr President’s commitment to repositioning the nation’s economy and strengthening national infrastructure, making him deserving of another term to consolidate the gains already recorded.”
