Eid-El-Kabir
The National Orientation Agency in Jigawa State has called on Nigerians to let the lessons of Eid al-Adha reflect in their daily lives. This was recently revealed in a statement by the Head of Communication and Media, National Orientation Agency, Mrs Sarah Ogodo, on behalf of the state Director, Mr Ahmad Ibrahim.
Insisting that it is a key step towards building a stronger and more united country, the state director urged citizens to allow the spirit of the season to shape national conduct as Muslims in Nigeria joined the global Ummah to mark Eid al-Adha.
Sarah added that Eid al-Adha, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s ultimate sacrifice and obedience to God, carries direct lessons for Nigeria’s current moment.
His words, “National unity is not built by slogans alone. It is built when citizens demonstrate faith in God, love for country and responsibility to one another.”
