I’m Not Considering An Immediate Return To Coaching – Pep Guardiola

Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that he is currently experiencing no desire to return to football management. This comes following his departure from the Etihad, and fans have been reacting.

Explaining that he is focusing on personal reflection after spending nearly two decades under the intense pressure of elite-level coaching, Pep stated that he is fully dedicated to his family at this point in time.

Guardiola added that even though he loves his job, he is thinking about returning to coaching anytime soon.

His words, “From a mental standpoint, I don’t miss anything at all. I started managing at 37, and my entire life has been bound to football. Now, I want to try and discover life, to be happy doing other things that have nothing to do with football.

I love my job, but there comes a time when you feel you have to stop. Maybe one day I’ll wake up and say, ‘Right, I want to get back into management.’ But that feeling has to come from within, and today, I just don’t feel it.

I’m trying to figure out what my life will look like. I decided to stop because I want to take a bit more care of myself. I want to spend more time with my children and with my father, who is 95 and still with us. I’ve reached the age of 56, I’m no longer young, and the way you see things changes as well. I’m still adjusting to this new phase, but it’s going pretty well.

I started managing at 37, and today I’m 56. I need to do new things. Right now, I feel very happy.

One day, of course, I will return to the Etihad Stadium. But right now, I want to stay behind the scenes. If they ever need me, I’ll be there.”

Pep Guardiola Sala is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is currently managing Premier League club Manchester City. Guardiola is the only manager to win the continental treble twice, the youngest to win the UEFA Champions League, and he also holds the records for the most consecutive league games won in La Liga, the Bundesliga, and the Premier League. He is considered to be one of the greatest managers of all time.

Guardiola has played for and advocated on behalf of the Catalonia football team. Between 1995 and 2005, he played seven friendly games for Catalonia.

Under Guardiola’s predecessor Frank Rijkaard, Barcelona were known for a 4–3–3 with plenty of flair with Ronaldinho being the centre point of the attack. Under Guardiola, however, the team became more disciplined with a greater focus on possession and a disciplined and aggressive pressing style.

Guardiola was born to Dolors and Valentí. He has two older sisters and a younger brother, Pere, a football agent. He is an atheist. Guardiola met his wife Cristina Serra when he was 18. They married on 29 May 2014.
