Avoid Governors Like Seyi Makinde In Future Elections – APC

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised Governor Seyi Makinde over his comments on the security situation in the state. The party recently had its say via a press statement by its spokesman, Olawale Sadare, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Faulting Makinde’s claim that he is constrained in tackling insecurity because security agencies are under the control of the Federal Government, APC said that the governor cannot shirk responsibility for the security challenges his state is facing.

The party added that Seyi’s clueless remark is a misrepresentation of the constitutional role of state governors in addressing insecurity.

It read, “Parochial leaders like Makinde pose a grave danger to the growth and development of the Nigerian society, and it is important for the electorate to avoid them in future elections.”
