Bishop David Oyedepo has urged Nigerians to see the country as a shared home, regardless of their religious or ethnic background. He recently had his say while delivering a sermon, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Stressing that the country does not belong to Muslims, Christians, any particular ethnic group or politicians, Oyedepo declared that every Nigerian has a place in the nation.
He concluded by stating that political leaders do not own Nigeria; the nation belongs collectively to its citizens.
His words, “Don’t vote for a Christian, we won’t give it to a Christian. Who’re you to give it? Muslims don’t own Nigeria, we’re not tenants to the Fulanis,no Nigerian is more Nigerian than others. We own this country together. Politicians don’t own the nation, Nigerians own the Nation.”
