Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has responded to people questioning her health condition. She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.
Addressing those who keep saying she does not look sick, Kemi stated that only those who have experienced the uncertainty of not knowing whether they would wake up the following day can truly understand what she goes through amid her battle with Lupus.
The moviestar concluded by urging Nigerians to refrain from judging others based on their physical appearance.
Her words, “I will be doing more of speaking up and advocating for myself and many other warriors chasing their health to be able to function like a normal human being while talk chase your dreams. If you’ve never gone to bed wondering if you’re gonna wake up the next day because of how your body is doing. Pls don’t ever tell me, ‘But you don’t look sick’. Got nothing to prove to anyone. Opinions don’t pay bills. I have stomached and handled so many things I am not pleased with maturely in the past for the sake of peace. I will no longer be doing that because it is confirmed medically that it has contributed to my health challenges.
