Following up on the success of the singles; ‘New Born Fela‘ and ‘Philo‘, Bella Shmurda delivered “HYPERTENSION” album on the 26th of October, 2022. Across Hypertension’s 15 songs, that image of street poet is accompanied by a more cogent picture of the singer as a young man at peace with life in the bright lights.

“Ase”, a track off the album means ‘Amen’ in Yoruba. It’s a song with a prayerful theme that Bella Shmurda made for his people back in the hood. He wanted to make something for them and send prayers out to them, this song is not limited to only my people. It’s for whoever needs it or to whoever needs those prayers at any time in their lives. ASE was produced by P.Priime and the Kazez Boys.
