The Minister of Work, David Umahi has come out to say that concrete pavement technology is the best option for flood affected roads across the country.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the technology is especially beneficial for flood-prone regions and areas with high water table levels, and the innovation is a critical step towards ensuring the long-term durability and reliability of the nation’s road infrastructure.

He added that President Bola Tinubu is determined to ensure that the roads along the economic corridors of the nation get the adequate priority they deserve.

His words, “Concrete pavement is good for areas that experience double rainfall maxima. Roads built with concrete will last between 50 to 100 years, while asphaltic ones will fall within 10 years. Concrete is the solution to flood-density roads.

They unanimously attested to the quality of work the Federal Government is doing. They, however, as Oliver Twist, requested for more work to be extended to their various communities. Motorists and commuters were not left behind, as they poured encomiums on the Minister and Mr President for alleviating their sufferings on the hitherto failed alignment, which is giving taxpayers value for their money.”

WOW.
