Nollywood filmmaker, Tchidi Chikere has been blasted for his exchange with a follower over his comment about bottles used in selling groundnuts in the country.

Recall that Tchidi flaunted a picture of some unidentified persons arranging some used bottles on the floor to be used for selling groundnuts.

Reacting to being called out, Chikere simply added that the bottles are picked from dustbin heap and they are not recycled, but rinsed.

He added that he is pained by this sad reality as it is unhealthy for citizens and buyers.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
