Super Eagles striker Akor Adams said that Eric Chelle has set victory as the target against Russia. He recently had his say during an interview with NFF TV, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that the setback versus Guinea-Bissau has raised expectations for a stronger showing in tonight’s game, Adams stated that he and his teammates have been mandated to deliver despite the squad changes.
Akor added that Nigerians deserve a good result and a convincing performance against a solid opponent like Russia.
His words, “There are a lot of new boys in the squad, but it’s still the Super Eagles.
The coach has made it clear – we have to win. Russia are a good team.
They’re hungry to play games because of their peculiar situation (FIFA ban).
For us, it is to give our best, come out with a good result and a good performance.”
