Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has dismissed all his political advisers and several top aides. Those affected by the decision include all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, as well as the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
Describing the decision as a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at reinvigorating AbdulRahman’s government, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola, revealed that the dismissals will create opportunities for more members of the ruling party and bring fresh energy into the administration.
The governor concluded by appreciating the affected officials for their contributions to his government while wishing them success in their future endeavours.
A statement read, “Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.”
His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours.
The governor directs all the affected appointees to hand over all government properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.”
